Cindy, Office Manager
In addition to assisting with treatment plans, insurances, and payment arrangements, she makes sure the office to runs smoothly. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and is currently pursuing her Masters in Business Administration. She and her husband, Dr. Thor, have two beautiful children together, daughter Scarlett and son Kelvin. When not working she loves scrapbooking, playing with her daughter and son, and enjoying the wonderful outdoors.
What Cindy has to say about Dr. Thor: “I have always known that Alex (Dr. Thor) loves his field of work and the services that he provides for his patients. However, until I actually started working here with him, I never truly understood how truly passionate he is about dentistry. Everyday, I enjoy seeing his enthusiasm in helping and providing the very best possible care for his patients.”
What Cindy has to say about dentistry: “Often times, we have patients who are fearful of dentists and it feels great to be able to work with them, making their experiences here at our office as pleasant as possible.”
Erica, Patient Care Coordinator
Friendly and highly motivated, Erica works to make your visit to our office enjoyable by making you feel comfortable and welcome. She will assist you with appointments convenient to your schedule, coordinate your treatment plan, and answer questions you may have about your insurance and/or any of our convenient payment plans available here at our office.
Erica graduated with a Bachelors degree from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2008, but she has been working in the dental profession since 2000 when she received her dental assisting certificate. Erica is a proud parent to her daughter Taya. She and her daughter, whom are natives of Minnesota, recently moved here to the state and love to explore the different towns Wisconsin has to offer. Although they have comfortably settled into their new home, they still do enjoy going back to Minnesota to visit family and friends. In her free time, Erica likes to scrapbook, read, and ride bikes with her daughter.
Ivan, Dental Assistant
Ivan is a big man with a gentle heart. He strives to make our guests feel welcome and secure with his warm smile and good hearted nature.
Ivan graduated with his dental assisting certificate from Los Angeles’s United Education Institute in 2004. He has been happily married for four years to his beautiful wife, Elizabeth, and they are the proud parents of their first daughter, Neblina. Ivan and his wife envision that their family will one day be complete with two more children. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his daughter, watching movies, playing video games, working on Mugen, and browsing the internet.
“Dr. Thor seems to know just what to say or do to make his patients feel more comfortable. We all feel nervous about our dental visits to a certain extent but at Token Creek Dental we try our very best to make each visit a pleasant one. One of the reasons why I chose to become an assistant is because I like to help people in need and what better way to help those in my community than working here.”
Shyla, Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
She is a graduate from Madison Area Technical College in 2008 with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. Shyla has always loved going to the dentist to have her teeth cleaned and polished and it was only a matter of time until she became a dental hygienist. She enjoys patient education the most and results of follow up visits, as sometimes, patients may be hearing how to brush and floss for the first time and are surprised at what can be achieved with minimal effort.
Shyla is married to her loving husband, Jeremy, and they have two adorable children, son Gavin and daughter Madisyn. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family outdoors engaging in such activities include fishing, swimming, boating, and snowmobiling.
